Dental School!!!

Hey yo!! Tomorrow is Easter public holiday.. and this extends till Monday. Means i have four days off -- class-free, assignment-free, reading-free!! Haha... Dental School rocks!! Not as stink as Medical School!! (Dental School doesnt stink) FYI there's no dental school coz my clinic and lab and some of the class meetings are in Adelaide Dental Hospital...Sometimes i wonder what's the source of the stink maybe cadavers or dead animals or parts of body? who knows? feel like wanna puke everytime i walk pass the stink corridor...

Today is the end of the 3rd week. In Week 1 and Week 2, almost all BDS 1 students were going crazy just to complete the DLP on time (week 2 worse). And despite the annoying assignments, I was suffering from the heatwave which lasted for two weeks!! Everyday's temperature was above 35 degree. and my house HAS NO FAN!! I woke up drenched every morning. And it was hard to fall asleep at night too...

ok ok do not digress i am coming back to the topic...DENTAL SCHOOL IS FUN!! All is just fine except the boring Chemistry and Biology lectures... and i got into the clinic and start practising on my colleague's mouth...haha im trying to b a good dentist tho...

Can u believe this? The most upper set of teeth is from FISH!! i dun tink fish has teeth before this!! and the bottom ones im not sure they r from which animals though.. the centre ones most likely from herbivore coz d occlusal surface is flat...and d bottom one maybe from monkey?? Monkey's incisors??

And i did the wax carving..i was given a tooth with a huge hole in it (the middle one which u can see a very obvious groove)....i need to fill it with the wax and then carve back the EXACT FISSURES on it ie giving back its original appearance!! and next time when i do the tooth fillings I NEED TO DO THIS : FILL THE HOLE WITH THE AMALGAM OR COMPOSITE IN A PERSON'S MOUTH!! Itz already very hard for me this lousy wax-carver to do it EXTERNALLY... I wonder how im gonna do this in d future...The teeth here are all larger but in real life, huhu, it'll b much more smaller and i apparently cant take out the tooth from the patient's mouth and do the fillings~ "extract the tooth then do the fillings then put it back to the mouth"? NO WAY!!
