Royal Adelaide Show

Royal Adelaide Show, the South Australia's second biggest festival kicks start from 5th September until 13th September at Wayville Pavillion. Yes, Wayville Pavillion, the same place i had my mid year exam couple months ago. Being a festival goer, that's a sure thing i'll be there. Didn't really know what to expect, maybe something like fun-fair in Malaysia? Have no idea at all..Went there with Audrey, planned to meet up with Tzu Ying and Elle but it's so big so gave up to find them..

I really can't believe this IS the place i have exams. Stress vs entertainment?
There used to be chairs and tables with papers on them and everyone was rushing to finish the paper on time. Now, the hall is occupied with booths. My first impression was: Fun fair = exhibitions? where are the rides???

I was still wondering where the thrill rides and the trademark of the show - Ferris wheel are, until i saw this. Yo! Feels like entertainment park! Yes, this IS the show! (i didn't take any rides - i am broke and i dare not to)

This is the most scary thrill rides. Not only flung u up high, the seats themselves spin too.
This is the second most scary one i think. I don't know its name but i'll call it milkshake machine - it makes u feel like milkshake.

Roller Coaster. The scaffolds and rails were wobbling when the cart rolled by. Very not steady and seemed dangerous... Sour-grape theory?? o.O

Haunted House. Typical of an amusement park.
Many games for u to play. mostly 4 or 5 bucks per play and if u are skillful enough u can win the big cute soft toys home..
Showbags! I bought two of them. One for myself one for my bro. It is something like u pay 20$ to get the stuff worth 80$ so it is really attrative..
Dinner time! Actually i had pizza and chips for dinner. The one that i hold now is Dagwood Dogs. Saw almost everyone was eating this so-called Australian food so i got myself one. Tasted so so only. Served better with tomato sauce on it... Come to think about that, i cant remember how long i haven't eaten chilli sauce, the real spicy one.

When i saw this, I decided that actually Malaysians and Australians are more or less the same. LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF RUBBISH! There are bins everywhere but people just left their shits on the lawn. What a scene!
Wandered around searching for animals after dinner. And yeah, we made it!

This is Peason. So i take it as Peacock's son = Peason. Looks like peacock. Duno it made with what animal to make this peason...

The chickens, ducks and goose size are so big. Just compare them with the people standing behind. This is not the effect of zooming. They are that BIG, obese somehow... LOL
This is some kind of rodents. They are soooo cute! Bigger size than hamster, smaller than rabbit.

These really very cute lo. I forgot what is their name liao. So fluffy. Their hair colour duno is natural one of people purposely dye one. Got green, red, and blue. haha very funny...
This pig is LONG. I never thought that i would use LONG to describe a pig other than fat, muddy, dirty. I straight away pictured it as 烧猪 the roasted golden pig used to pray to Tee-Kong...
As i walked closer, oh, to my lovely surprise, there were many pigletts!! very very cute!!

Maybe that mother was taking a break coz too exhausted from this?


We stayed that long (from 3.30pm til 9.30pm) just for this one - the fireworks. I reckon it is not as good as those i've seen in Malaysia. Pretty boring in the middle..



It's time to go back after we watched the fireworks. Freaking lots of people. had a hard time to successfully make it to the exit coz got stuck in the crowd. human traffic jam.
Missed a bus to go back to the city. We decided to take the tram coz dun wanna wait for another half an hour. This is the tram heading to the city.

I dragged my exhausted body back home.


overall it was fun! just that i need more guts and money to try the games and rides.. T.T fun-fair in overseas, with lots of more thrilling thrill rides, animals, cows, sheeps, horses, chips, hotdogs, soft toys, showbags, ang mohs everywhere (stuck in crowd with ang mohs is far more better than when u stuck with indians and malays which many unknown smells are killing u or inducing u to puke besides the dizziness to stay conscious in the crowd). Malaysia has a long long way to go to have one show like this. But with the rubbish-making behaviour, Malaysia has a better go. =P

p/s: jia ji, i think Queensland one the EKKA is better lo coz it is larger till u have cable car to ride and bird-eye viewing the whole park
